Description

This Kraft Taco Soup is a creamy, cheesy twist on the classic taco soup, packed with bold flavors, ground beef, beans, corn, and melty Kraft cheese. A quick, one-pot meal perfect for weeknight dinners or cozy gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (or turkey)

  • 1 packet Kraft taco seasoning

  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes

  • 1 can (14 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed

  • 1 can (14 oz) corn, drained

  • 1 cup Kraft shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1/2 cup Kraft Velveeta cheese (optional, for extra creaminess)

  • 1 packet Hidden Valley Ranch dressing mix (optional, for tangy depth)

  • 2 cups beef broth or water

  • 1/2 cup diced onions (optional)

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Tortilla chips, sour cream, and cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Beef: In a large pot over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.

  2. Add Seasonings & Veggies: Stir in taco seasoning, ranch dressing mix (if using), diced tomatoes, black beans, corn, onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

  3. Simmer: Pour in beef broth (or water) and bring the soup to a boil. Reduce heat and let simmer for 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  4. Melt the Cheese: Add Kraft shredded cheddar cheese and Velveeta cheese (if using), stirring until fully melted and creamy.

  5. Serve & Garnish: Ladle into bowls and top with tortilla chips, sour cream, and fresh cilantro as desired.

Notes

For a spicier version, add diced jalapeños or a pinch of cayenne pepper.

For a lighter option, use lean ground turkey and reduced-fat cheese.

This soup can be made in a slow cooker: Brown the meat first, then add all ingredients and cook on low for 6–8 hours or high for 3–4 hours.
